Foto: Felix Broedehas emerged as the great winner of the twentieth final round of the Monte Carlo Piano Masters Competition. In the presence of Prince Albert II, Kultyshev triumphed at the end of the competition, delighting the packed audience in the principality’s opera house with his performance of Rachmaninov’s Third Piano Concerto. The Monte Carlo Piano Masters Competition, whose jury this year contained such prominent pianists as Li Jian, Jean-Marc Luisada and Mikhail Rudy, is unique for the fact that according to its rules it is open only to young artists who have already taken part in the final rounds of other great international competitions – no great obstacle for Miroslav Kultyshev, who has already competed successfully in the 2007 Moscow Tchaikovsky Competition and the 2010 Warsaw Chopin Competition and who for a number of years has been appearing in leading concert halls all over the world.
